Job Description:
– Completely remove and dispose of the old roof structure
– Inspect the substructure for damage and repair as necessary
– Properly install between-rafter and above-rafter insulation
– Securely install a vapor barrier to prevent moisture absorption
– Install underlayment as a secondary waterproofing layer
– Install counter-battens and support battens to secure the roofing material
– Form and secure roof overhangs according to the plans
– For flat roof renovations, remove and dispose of old bitumen layers
– Permanently attach the vapor barrier using hot-air or flame welding
– Install insulation evenly; if necessary, install sloped insulation to facilitate water drainage
– Construct and seal the parapet according to specifications
– Properly install and seal wall penetrations
– Neatly frame and seal roof penetrations
– Finish the top layer of bitumen membranes using hot-applied sealing
– Perform a final inspection of the roof covering and adhesive work
– Clean the work area and ensure the site is secured
