Job Description:
Corrosion protection for turbines operating underwater. You will clean the surfaces and remove old paint using sandblasting. You will perform a visual inspection and mask off adjacent areas. You will then apply a suitable primer followed by the topcoat. Minor touch-ups with a brush ensure a clean finish. Finally, you check the coating for even coverage and adhesion. The team leader must process orders on the computer. This involves reading plans to determine which parts and areas need to be coated with which product. Which areas must be covered to ensure they are protected.
Which abrasives are used, and at what surface roughness is the blasting performed? Preparation of all reports (Bresle test, surface roughness measurement, measuring thickness in µm, creating a corrosion protection report, generating PDF files). It is also very important to speak with the customer on-site and keep them informed. Possession of a crane and forklift operator’s license.
