Job Description:
– Protect the work area by covering floors, walls, and furniture
– Remove and dismantle old windows using appropriate tools
– Inspect window reveals for damage and repair or clean them as needed
– Check new windows for completeness, damage, and dimensional accuracy
– Replace the vapor barrier on the window reveals and seal it airtight by bonding it in place
– Insert the window frames into the reveals, align them precisely, and secure them with wedges
– Secure the window frames to the reveals so they are both thermally and airtight by filling the gaps with installation foam
– Additionally secure the window frames mechanically with screws
– Apply expansion strips to the connection joints to ensure a seal against air and water ingress
– Check installed windows for proper function, tightness, and correct alignment
– Remove protective measures and clean the work area, including disposal of waste materials
