Job Description:
– Inspecting and preparing plaster substrates to ensure their suitability and condition
– Properly treating and cleaning old brick and clay brick masonry
– Repairing and restoring historic and uneven masonry surfaces
– Performing plastering work on vaults and historic building elements while taking building physics into account
– Preparation of substrates for the application of clay plaster, lime plaster, and other mineral plasters
– Selection and adaptation of the plaster system according to the properties of the respective substrate
– Application of base coat, intermediate coat, and finish coat in multiple layers
– Repairs and restoration of existing plaster surfaces
– Creating clean transitions and connections to adjacent building components
– Performing reinforcement and mesh work as needed to stabilize the plaster
– Surface finishing to achieve various plaster textures and decorative effects
– Careful handling of sensitive and historic substrates
– Compliance with the technical specifications and application instructions for the materials used
– Final inspection of the plastered surfaces to ensure consistent quality and cleanliness
– Cleaning of the work site upon completion of the plastering work
