Job Description:
– Prepare the job site for concrete work and paving, including marking and cordoning off the area
– Excavate and roughly grade the subgrade, if necessary
– Apply and spread the crushed stone base course, then compact it using appropriate machinery
– Create a fine subgrade from crushed stone or gravel, carefully level the surface, and compact it
– Set and align curbstones made of in-situ concrete at the designated locations
– Cut curbstones to ensure a clean fit
– Install and align gutter stones, paying attention to the slope
– Lay concrete paving stones on the compacted subgrade, maintaining joint spacing and a laying pattern in accordance with the plans
– Periodically check the levelness and alignment of the paved area and stones
– Compact the paved areas after installation using a vibrating plate, using protective mats
– Fill joints with joint sand or grit and consolidate by sanding
– Clean the work area and document previous work steps
– Conduct final inspection of the paved area and curb work
