Job Description:
– Transporting construction materials such as sand, gravel, concrete, construction waste, and machinery to and from various construction sites within the town
– Properly loading transport vehicles while taking into account the properties of the materials and weight distribution
– Securing the load in accordance with applicable safety regulations to prevent shifting or loss while driving
– Driving the vehicle safely and in accordance with regulations, particularly when pulling away, maneuvering, and turning on narrow construction sites and roads
– Operating the dump truck to unload bulk materials or other items in a controlled manner at the construction site
– Using the trailer to increase transport capacity for large or bulky loads
– Conducting regular visual and functional inspections of the truck, dump truck, and trailer to ensure road safety and cleanliness
– Performing simple maintenance and upkeep tasks, as well as promptly reporting any identified defects or repair needs
– Coordinating with the construction site manager or dispatcher to precisely schedule delivery times and material quantities
– Ensuring clear communication with the unloading crew and supervising the unloading process to guarantee a smooth operation
– Complying with the German Road Traffic Regulations (StVO) as well as specific regulations for truck drivers, particularly regarding driving and rest periods
– Observing all relevant safety regulations while driving and working in construction zones and high-traffic urban areas
– Conducting a final inspection of the unloaded areas and cleaning the vehicle after completing the transport assignment
