Job Description:
Transporting construction materials such as sand, gravel, concrete, construction waste, or machinery to and from various construction sites within the town.
Responsibility for the proper loading, securing, and unloading of materials in accordance with safety regulations. Safe and proper operation of the vehicle, particularly when starting, maneuvering, and turning on construction sites and narrow streets.
Operating the dump truck to unload bulk goods or materials. Using the trailer to increase transport capacity, especially for large or bulky materials. Regular inspections of the truck, dump truck, and trailer to ensure roadworthiness, proper functioning, and cleanliness.
Performing simple maintenance tasks and promptly reporting repair needs. Coordinating with the site manager or dispatcher to precisely schedule delivery times and material quantities.
Ensuring clear communication during unloading and supervising the unloading process. Compliance with the Road Traffic Regulations (StVO) as well as specific regulations for truck drivers (e.g., driving and rest periods). Adherence to safety regulations, particularly regarding safe driving in construction zones or inner-city areas with heavy traffic.
